National Student Survey update
Response rates are still down on this time last year. By Friday 16 February, the overall institutional response rate was 65%, down 5% on 2017. Furthermore, 25 programmes had still failed to reach the publication threshold.
The charts below indicate response rates for each faculty and their respective schools/departments. Only four schools/departments have equalled or improved on their 2017 response rates:
- LSAD is up 10% at 65% compared to 55% this time last year
- EDU is up 4% at 72%
- NAH and Civil Engineering have equalled their response rate at 63% and 61% respectively
All programme leaders and their academic teams are advised to redouble their efforts to encourage as many students as possible to complete the NSS.
The telephone phase is underway and Ipsos Mori have already contacted close to 400 students by phone.
Please contact your NSS champion for further information or visit these intranet pages.
Raising money for student mental health
For every survey completed, the University will donate £3 to Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity, as chosen by LiverpoolSU, up to a maximum donation of £12,000. To date, students have raised £9,606. Student Minds is currently inviting students, recent graduates and staff to help inform a project examining support for LGBTQ+ students.
